Yemen, UNFPA sign cooperation treaty

SANA'A, Nov. 24 (Saba)-Ministry of Public Health and Population and
the United Nation Fund for Population UNFPA signed Monday
cooperation treaty for supporting emergency services to
floods-affected people in eastern areas.

Upon the treaty, which was signed by Minister of Public Health and
Population Abdul-Karim Rase'a and UNFPA's representative in Yemen
Hans Obdeijn, the fund provides Yemen with $ 110 for medications and
portable ambulant clinics for ambulance and emergency services in
floods-affected in Hadramout and Mahra governorates.

The treaty stipulates also on carrying out emergency plan in
cooperation with German Technical Cooperation GTZ in field of
reproductive health with additional sum amounting to $ 45 thousands
to the affected areas.
