Tuweijiri hails Saudi initiative to promote dialogue among

Tunis, November 23, SPA -- Director General of the Islamic
Educational, Scientific And Cultural Organization (ISESCO) Dr
Abdulaziz Al-Tuweijiri has highlighted the significance of the
conferences called by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for tackling any
emerging problems through dialogue among followers of all religions.
These conferences include those which were held in Makkah, Madrid and
New York at the invitation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques
King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz.

Addressing a press conference here last night, Dr Al-Tuweijiri said
the dialogue aims at realizing peace and security around the world by
respecting peculiarities of all nations.

He noted that ISESCO works in this direction along with the
ministries of youth in the Muslim world, adding that the phenomenon
of extremism and violence is an international phenomenon and it is
not confined to the Muslim youth.

Dr al-Tuweijiri, who was speaking at a press conference along with
Tunisian Minister of Sports and Youth Sameer al-Obeidi, said the
international conference due to be organized by ISESCO tomorrow in
Tunis on the problems of the Muslim youth, comes in line with the
attention given by the Muslim world to the youth problems and the
dangers facing them.

The conference will be attended by delegations from 30 Muslim
countries and 25 regional and international organizations.

Dr Al-Tuweijiri said the organization of the conference comes within
the framework of the conferences being organized by ISESCO to tackle
the problems of the Muslim nation and confronting the destructive
trends which try to drag the Muslim youth.

He pointed out that ISESCO will brief various parts of the Muslim
world on the outcome of the conference.

"We will do our best to correct wrong ideas about Islam, and we will
never keep silent via-a-vis the aggressions on the Muslim countries,
" he added.
