MALAYSIA EVICTS ANOTHER 151 ILLEGAL INDONESIAN WORKERS
Tanjungpinang, Nov 22 (ANTARA) - Malaysia again deported another 151 illegal migrant workers to Indonesia through Sri Bintang Pura port of Tanjungpinang city, Riau Islands Province, on Saturday afternoon.
Cross Borders Immigration Office Chief in Tanjungpinang Ispaisah said those problematic workers consisted of 123 men, 27 women and one child.
"They were sent from Pasir Gudang port of Malaysia by a certain vessel to Sri Bintan Pura port in Tanjungpinang," Ispaisah said.
Malaysia on Friday evening was recorded to have sent back around 152 Indonesian illegals through Sri Bintan port of Tanjungpinang and most of them were composed of 139 men, 11 women and two children," he said.
On Thursday, that neighboring country also repatriated some 147 Indonesians consisting of 101 men, 44 women and one child.
"They are deported from that country for having no complete documents to work there," he said.
Every week, Malaysia often evicts some illegal Indonesian workers through Sri Bintan Pura harbour. "This week, at least four deportations of problematic workers were already conducted by that country through Sri Bintan port."
For the time being, those problematic workers were sheltered in a temporary location on Jalan Transito, Tanjungpinang before sending them back to their respective villages by using a budget allocated by the central government.
