ATS disclosure on plot to kill RSS leaders ridiculous: Advani

Vidisha (MP), Nov 22 (PTI) Senior Bharatiya Janata Party
(BJP) leader L K Advani Saturday charged the Maharashtra
Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) with leaking information on Sadhvi
Pragya Singh Thakur, arrested in connection with the Malegaon
blast.

Addressing an election meeting here, BJP's prime
ministerial candidate said the ATS had made a ridiculous
disclosure by claiming that the sadhvi and her associates were
planning to kill some RSS leaders.

Internal security was a serious matter and all cases
related to terrorism should be investigated professionally,
Advani said.

But the ATS, he said, was making information public and
this was being used for political advantage by the Congress
which is in power at the Centre.

"I have raised the issue with Prime Minister Manmohan
Singh which is related to the affidavit of sadhvi in which she
has made very serious allegations against ATS," the BJP leader
said.

"The National Security Adviser (NSA) told me that the
allegations are being probed thoroughly," he added.

Advani said many more people had been killed in the
Mumbai serial train blasts but the manner in which the ATS was
handling the Malegaon blast gave rise to suspicion.

He also expressed surprise at various sections of
Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA) being
applied to the sadhvi and others and objected to the use of
the term "Hindu terrorism".
