AZERBAIJAN MEN’S PLAYERS RISE TO 5th IN CHESS OLYMPIAD DRESDEN
Baku, 22 November,(AzerTAj)Azerbaijani national men’s team have progressed to the 5th place at the Chess Olympiad Dresden after defeating Croatia 2.5-1.5 in the 9th round.
Gadir Huseynov`s victory over Robert Zelcic secured the 12th point for Azerbaijan, bringing it closer to medal positions.
Meanwhile, Azerbaijan`s female players placed 28th.
In the 10th round, the Azeri men will face Serbia, while the women`s team Croatia.
