Foreign organisations fund to help disadvantaged children

Da Nang (VNA) - The central city of Da Nang has received 68,000 USD from US organisation East Meets West (EMW) as support for nurturing and vocational training of orphans and disabled children in the city.

The programme was designed to help unprivileged children lead a stable
life and prepare them for integration into community with knowledge,
vocational skills and psychological confidence.

The municipal People's Committee has also approved a 923-million-VND
(55,000 USD) programme financed by UK organisation Siloam to fund poor
pupils through scholarships and build houses for a number of poor people in
the city.

Earlier, the committee approved a project funded by Handicap International
(French) to provide deaf children with access to educational
services.-Enditem
