Preparatory Committee for Arab Economic Summit holds meeting

Cairo, November 20, SPA -- The Preparatory Committee for Arab
Economic Summit held here today a meeting at ministerial level under
the chairmanship of Kuwaiti Finance Minister Mustafa Al-Shamali and
the participation of Arab Finance Ministers, members of the Committee
or their representatives.

The Kingdom's delegation was led by the Undersecretary of the Finance
Ministry for Economic Affairs Dr. Hamad Al-Bazei.

During the meeting, the Committee agreed to convene an emergency
meeting of Arab Finance Ministers and Governors of Arab Central Banks
and Arab Monetary Agencies in order to discuss the effects of the
current and future global financial crisis on Arab countries.
