Endowment minister receives US official

SANA'A, Nov. 19 (Saba)- Minister of Endowment and Religious Affairs Hamoud al-Hitar received on Wednesday director general of Arabian Peninsula Office at the Department of State Andre Seinfeld along with the accompanying delegation.

The minister acquainted the US official with Yemen's experience in dialogue with
extremists and successes achieved in this field locally and externally from the view
of improving the image of Yemen.

He affirmed that Yemeni dialogue with extremists received international appreciation
as it is connected with intellectual issues which can not be solved but by dialogue
based on honesty and transparency.

The meeting also dealt with Yemeni detainees in Guantanamo, affirming Yemen's
readiness to receive its detainees and prepare special programs to qualify them.

For his part, the US official affirmed that Yemen will get special keenness in the
new US administration agenda which will work to help Yemen in a number of fields,
coming on top is development.
