Yemen seeks US, French technical cooperation

SANA'A, Nov. 19 (Saba)- Minister of Technical Education and Vocational Training Ebrahim Hajri discussed on Wednesday with Director of Middle East and North Africa Programs in Educational Development Center in Washington Helen Boyle future technical and vocational cooperation between the ministry and the center.

The meeting dealt with making use of the center's experiences in field of training
Yemeni trainers and including English concepts in programs of the technical and
vocational education. The meeting also dealt with exchanging viewpoints in field of
improving curriculums and possible help of the center for improving technical and
vocational education in Yemen.

On the other hand, Minister Hajri discussed with expert of animal production in the
French Carmazan Agricultural Institute technical cooperation between the ministry
and the institute and means of enhancing and improving them.

The minister discussed also with the expert possible qualifying agricultural
institutes affiliated with his ministry and making use of French expertise in this
field.

During the meeting, the French expert handed over the minister document over
agricultural education strategy in Yemen prepared by the two parts, the French and
Yemeni. After studying the document, working mechanism would be set up and signed by
the governments of the two countries during the forthcoming period.
