Speaker affirms right of women in political participation

SANA'A, Nov. 19 (Saba)-Speaker of the Parliament Yahya al-Rae'a affirmed on Wednesday right of women in the political participation and decision making.

During his meeting with the program manager of Madrid Forum Arwa Shabaki and
coordinator of the project in Yemen, al-Rae'a urged political organizations and
civil society organization to comply with their commitments to support women
political empowerment to be active in the democratic process in the nation.

He pointed out to allocate constituencies for women in Sana'a capital and other
governorates.He also welcomed activities of the forum in Yemen.

Shabaki expressed her happiness to visit Yemen and her meetings with the leadership
of the parliament and organizations of enhancing democracy in Yemen.
