SC chairman highlights participation of Yemeni women in political life
SANA'A, Nov. 19 (Saba)-The Chairman of Shoura Council Abdul-Aziz Abdul Ghani praised on Wednesday participation of Yemeni women in the political life.
During his meeting with the program manager of Madrid Forum Arwa Shabaki and
coordinator of the project in Yemen, Abdul-Ghani said that women in Yemen have
opportunity of education now.
He affirmed importance of agreement of political parties on allocating 15 percent
for women in the parliament.
For her part, Shabaki reviewed activities of the forum that is headed by former US
president Bill Clanton as well as programs of the forum in Yemen to enhance women
empowerment.
