Oil Expert Rules out Impact of Increasing Iranian oil Exports on Iraq

BAGHDAD / NINA / An adviser of the Oil Exploration Company of Iraq, the oil expert Halim Kadhim ruled out the effect of increasing Iranian oil exports on Iraq's oil exports. He said in a statement to the National Iraqi News Agency / NINA / : " increasing Iranian oil exports, after the easing of international sanctions on Iran , will not affect exports of oil-producing countries , including Iraq , but it will affect , a little, the oil's price because of increase of supply in the World markets. " He added : "Iraq has its oil markets and is working hard to keep them, and increasing Iranian oil product will not attract Asian markets dealing with Iraq , because the sanctions on Iran have not been lifted fully ." He said : "Iran is still under international economic sanctions , which raise fears of Asian countries to deal with it ." He explained: "Iraq is exporting approximately 850 000 barrels to China and India daily , and is working hard to get stable markets , and increasing Iranian oil product will not affect that." The United States and the European Union impose, since years, sanctions on Iran over its nuclear program, but an agreement was reached recently between Iran and the United States and other Western countries over its nuclear program, which some Western sources indicated that this agreement would allow Iran to increase its oil exports. / End
