Yemen, Saudi Arabia sign sport cooperation program
SANA'A, Nov. 18 (Saba)- Ministry of Youth and Sport and Saudi
General Presidency of Youth Welfare signed on Tuesday here the
executive program of the treaty signed between the two countries on
October 2001.
The program, which was signed by Minister of Youth and Sport Hamoud
Obad and Saudi Vice President of Youth Welfare prince Nawaf bin
Faisal bin Fahd bin Abdul-Aziz, stipulates on improving and
enhancing cooperation relations in field of youth and sport between
the two countries for 2009-2010 and on training Yemeni cadres in
Saudi Institute for Preparing Leaders and on exchanging courses and
expertise in field of projects and maintenance to sport facilities
in the two countries.
The program covers fields of football, basketball, holly ball,
swimming, bicycles and other sports, in addition to communication
between sport unions in Yemen and in their counterparts in Saudi
kingdom, making joint camps and participation in courses to be held
between the two countries in technical and refereeing fields.
The two parts agreed on holding meetings to sub-technical
committee on the last quarter of 2009 for setting executive program
for the period 2011-2012.
According to the program, a Saudi youth delegation composed of 12
young will arrive in Yemen and another similar Yemeni team will go
to the Kingdom for exchanging visits and youth experiences in field
of sport media and publication on the basis of the agreement between
the two countries for exchanging visits betweens sport media people
for exchanging skills between both.
