Vietnam Idol finals kick off
HCM City (VNA) - After a two and a half month process, 10 young Vietnam Idol contestants have been selected to compete in the final round, which started on November 12 and lasts until January at HCM City 's Hoa Binh Theatre.
The finalists, five boys and five girls, have performed every Wednesday
night on Vietnam Idol, broadcast on HTV7 and other TV stations in Khanh Hoa,
Quang Ninh, Can Tho, Hue , Hai Phong, and Da Nang .
Audiences vote for their favourite singers by sending text messages, and
every week one singer is voted off the show.
Last week, Hanoian Minh Chuyen was voted off the programme.
Organised by HCM City Television (HTV) in coordination with Clear hair care,
the second season of Vietnam Idol has gathered more than 15,000 contestants
since August to compete in the first round.
The winning contestant will receive a 5,000 USD cash prize, a recording
contract valued at 5,000 USD and the chance to represent Vietnam in the
Asian Idol contest.-Enditem
