Iran, reliable partner of Zimbabwe - Ghazanfari
Tehran, Nov 18, IRNA - Deputy Commerce Minister Mehdi Ghazanfari said Monday that Iran is a reliable and powerful trade partner of Zimbabwe.
Ghazanfari told Zimbabwean Ambassador to Tehran Nicholas D. Kiti Kiti
that Iran and Zimbabwe should place the establishment of banks and
joint investment by their economic activists as well as conclusion of
trade and economic agreements on the agenda.
He hoped for significant increase in relations with Zimbabwe.
Kiti Kiti for his part sought Iran's contribution to investment in
Zimbabwe's medicine, mining and power industries.
The two sides also discussed expansion of trade, export of Iranian
medicine to Zimbabwe and arrangements to hold the sixth joint
commission session.
Balance of trade between Iran and Zimbabwe was 290,000 dollars in
Iran's favor. Pistachio, caustic soda, garlic and carpet were the most
important non-oil exports to the African country last year.
