Iran-Turkey to expand cooperation in gas field
Tehran, Nov 18, IRNA - Iran and Turkey are to expand cooperation in gas field by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) here Monday.
The MoU was signed by Iran's Oil Minister Gholamhossein Nozari and
Turkish Energy Minister Hilmi Guler in the venue of Oil Ministry
building in Tehran on Monday afternoon.
The MoU calls for developing 22, 23 and 24 phases of Southern Pars gas
field by Turkey's investment, Permission for Turkmenistan gas transit
from Iran to Turkey, transferring Iran's gas to Europe through Turkey
territory for 35 billion cubic meters annually and construction of gas
pipeline from Assalouyeh, south of Iran, to Turkey's border which is
1,850 kilometers.
