AZERBAIJAN`S MINISTER OF CULTURE AND TOURISM MEETS DIRECTORS OF FOREIGN COUNTRIES` NATIONAL LIBRARIES

Baku, 17 November,(AzerTAj) Azerbaijani Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfaz Garayev today has received the participants of the 10th general meeting of noncommercial partnership “Library Assembly” and the 2nd International Conference of Directors of Turkic Speaking Countries, who arrived in Baku to participate in the 85th jubilee of establishment of Azerbaijan National Library after M.F.Akhundov.

Mr. Garayev told of reforms being implemented in the field of library. He underlined
that numerous libraries are reconstructed in the regions of the country. Next year,
National Library after Akhundov will be reconstructed with sharing Belarus
experience, said Mr. Garayev.
Director of Belarus National Library Roman Motulski expressed his readiness in
reconstruction of Azerbaijani library.
People’s writer Chingiz Abdullayev, Chairman of the Commission for Economic Policy,
academician Ziya Samadzade, director of Azerbaijan`s National Library after M.F.
Akhundov Karim Tairov and others took the floor.
