AZERBAIJAN SIGNS CE CONVENTION
Baku, 17 November,(AzerTAj)In compliance with the Executive Order of the Azerbaijan President, on 17 November head of the Azerbaijan`s Permanent Representation at the Council of Europe Arif Mammadov has signed the Council of Europe’s Convention “Protection of children from sexual violence and sexual exploitation”.
On the COE side, the Convention was signed by Ms. Maud de Boer Buquicchio, Deputy
Secretary General of the Council of Europe.
Ms. Buquicchio gave high assessment to Azerbaijan`s initiative, characterizing this
step as adherence of the Republic to COE values, and called for its quick
ratification.
Azerbaijan is the 31st country to sign this Convention, which has not been signed by
Russia, Georgia and Armenia.
