AZERBAIJANI KARATE FIGHTER CLAIMS 2nd GOLD IN TOKYO, BECOMES THREE-FOLD WORLD CHAMPION
Baku, 17 November,(AzerTAj) Azerbaijan`s karate fighter Rafael Aghayev claimed Sunday his second gold in the 19th World Championship in Tokyo, this time in the 70 kg class, to become a three-fold champion.
In his way to final, Aghayev beat Swiss, Tunisian, Qatari, Portuguese, Japanese and
Egyptian rivals.
Other Azeri fighters Shahin Atamov (75kg) and Amal Atayev (80kg) failed to gain any
success.
Azerbaijan ranked 4th in the tournament`s medal table.
