AZERBAIJAN MEN’s PLAYERS WIN US IN 4th ROUND OF CHESS OLYMPIAD DRESDEN
Baku, 17 November,(AzerTAj)Azerbaijani national men’s team beat US 3-1 in the 4th round of the Chess Olympiad Dresden 2008.
In this round, Teymur Rajabov secured a win over Gata Kamsky, while Shahriyar
Mammadyarov won Khikamura Nakamurani. Vugar Hashimov and Gadir Huseynov drew with
Alexander Onishuk and Yuriy Shulman respectively.
After 4 rounds, the Azerbaijani men’s team ranks 6th with 7 points. They will next
face Norway.
Meanwhile, the Azeri female players won Germany 2.5-1.5 to place at the 27th spot.
They will next face Serbia.
