Arab Communication and Information ministers hold closed-door

SPA - Damascus, November 17, SPA -- The Councils of Arab Ministers of
Information and Arab Ministers of communication held here today a
joint closed-door meeting attended by Secretary General of Arab
League Amr Mousa.


The delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is headed by Eng.
Mohammed Jamil Mulla, Minister of Communication and Information
Technologies.


The joint ministerial meeting will discuss a number of topics,
including strengthening of convergence between information and
telecommunications services, keeping pace with technological
developments and the development of resources in the areas of new
communications and information technology and its applications to the
media in addition to cooperation between the sectors of information
and communication in providing non-profit community-based services in
the Arab world.
