President welcomes Chinese investment in power, industry
SANA'A, Nov. 16 (Saba) - President Ali Abdullah Saleh welcomed on
Sunday the Chinese investments in fields of power and industry in
the Free Zones.
Saleh highlighted, during his meeting with the Chinese parliamentary
delegation, that there are many opportunities available for the
Chinese investments in Yemen.
He also praised the Yemeni-Chinese relations level, emphasizing the
country's keenness on developing the joint cooperation horizons and
trade exchange between the two countries.
The Vice-chairmen of the permanent committee at the Chinese National
People's Congress, head of the delegation, Ismail Tal al-Wadi
expressed his happiness of being in Yemen and his good impression of
the development and changes in the country.
He assured China interest to strengthen its relations and bilateral
cooperation with Yemen at all levels, particularly in the economic
area, indicating that Yemen is one of the headmost Arab states
established diplomatic ties with China.
Al-Wadi renewed his condolences and the Chinese People on the
victims of floods disaster. He assured China's solidarity with Yemen
towards this catastrophe, hailing the Yemen supporting attitude to
China as well as its stance during the last earthquake in China.
The Chinese government will encourage the Chinese companies to
invest in Yemen to achieve the joint interests for the two friendly
peoples, al-Wadi added.
