Yemeni-Chinese parliamentary talks held in Sana'a
SANA'A, Nov. 16 (Saba)-The Yemeni-Chinese parliamentary talks were
held in Sana'a on Sunday co-chaired by deputy speaker of parliament
Akarm Atyah and Vice-chairmen of the council's permanent committee
at Chinese parliament Ismail Tal al-Waddi.Atyah welcomed the Chinese
side, wishing that the visit of the Chinese delegation would enhance
bilateral relations between the two parliaments to sever common
interests of both peoples which have historical and friendly
relationship.
He appreciated recent Chinese solidarity position over
the flood disaster, which hit several governorates in the
country.Atyah confirmed support of Yemeni government and parliament
for all national position of China, affirming importance of boosting
these position between the two parliament during the international
events especially toward issues of common concern.
He reviewed Yemeni democratic experiment and current arrangements to hold 2009
parliamentary elections.For his part, the Chinese top official
expressed his happiness to visit Yemen, saying that the aim of the
visit is to enhance bilateral relations between the two
parliaments.
He conveyed condolence of the Chinese parliament and
people for Yemeni people and government over death of flood.The
Chinese official pointed out to the volume of the commercial
exchange between Yemen and China which reached more than $ 1
billion.
