Oil minister calls OPEC to reduce oil production

SANA'A, Nov. 16 (Saba) - Minister of Oil and Minerals Ameer
al-Aidrous has called the upcoming ministerial meeting of
Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), expected to
be held in Cairo, to take bold decisions to reduce their oil
production to return balance of the current oil deteriorated prices
in the world markets which caused big damages on small producers
including Yemen.

Al-Aidrous said to Saba that consequences of world financial crisis
have reached critical phases and touched the countries economies
without exception.

He noted that the under-developing countries of limited income and
high population density are the most affected countries due to this
financial crisis.
