Acting Minister of Culture and Information delivers statement

Damascus, November 16, SPA-- The Minister of Social Affairs and
Acting Minister of Culture and Information Yosef Al-Othaimeen
stressed the importance of the 16th session of the Conference of
Ministers responsible for cultural affairs in the Arab world
currently held here.

In a statement to Saudi Press Agency, he said that he hoped the
session will result in real practical measures that serve and
promote the Arab culture.
As for the measures to be taken by the Kingdom to celebrate
Al-Quds as capital of Arab culture next year, the Minister said that
there are a group of procedures set by the Ministry of Culture and
Information in cooperation with the ministries concerned in this
matter such as education, social affairs and other relevant sectors
in addition to the issuance of stamps by General Postal Organization
on this occasion.
