International Conference on Water Resources and Arid Environment

Riyadh, November 16, SPA -- Under the patronage of the Vice Custodian
of the Two Holy Mosques Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz; Prince Khalid
bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Assistant Minister of Defense and Aviation
Inspector General for Military affairs opened at King Fahd Cultural
center here today the International Conference on "Water Resources
and Arid Environment" and the First Arab Water Forum.

A speech ceremony was held on this occasion.
In his speech, the Secretary General of Prince Sultan International
Award for Water and Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the
International Conference of Water, Dr. Abdulmalik Al al-Sheikh
delivered a speech thanking the Vice Custodian of the Two Holy
Mosques for patronizing the Conference, and Prince Khalid bin Sultan
bin Abdulaziz for opening it.
On his part, Egyptian Minister of Water and Irrigation and President
of Arab Council for Water, Dr. Mahmoud Abu Zeid valued the auspices
of the Vice Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for opening the
conference which coincides with Prince Sultan International Award for
water.
Then the Minister of Water and Electricity Dr. Abdullah Al-Hussein
welcomed in his speech Prince Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz,
appreciating his inauguration of the conference.
