PRESIDENT YUDHOYONO LEAVES WASHINGTON FOR MEXICO CITY
Washington, Nov 16 (ANTARA) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono left Washington DC on Sunday morning for Mexico City as part of a 13-day tour of four countries.
The president and entourage left Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland for Benito Juares International Airport in Mexico City by a Garuda Airbus A330-341 special flight.
The president visited Washington DC for a meeting of Group of 20 (G-20) leaders on Saturday (Nov 15).
The G-20 groups Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Turkey, Britain and the United States.
While in Mexico City, President Yudhoyono is scheduled to hold one-on-one talks with a number of local businesspeople from Tamssa-Axtellarat Energy, Cempra Energy and TMM, SA, on Sunday evening.
Later in the night, Mexican President Felipe Calderon Hinojosa will hold a banquet in honor of the Indonesian leader.
On Monday, Yudhoyono will pay a courtesy call on Hinojosa at the Los Pinos Palace, followed by a bilateral meeting between the two countries' delegations.
Following the meeting the two nations will sign three agreements on education and training, cooperation between Indonesian state oil and gas company Pertamina and its Mexican partner, Petroleos Mexicanos (Pemex), and cooperation between the Indonesian National Agency for Export Development (Nafed) and its Mexican partner, Promexico.
On Tuesday, Yudhoyono is scheduled to proceeed to Brazil. His next stop will be Peru where he will attend the 16th APEC Summit from November 20 to 24.
