AZERBAIJAN TO PULL OUT ITS MILITARY CONTINGENT FROM IRAQ
Baku, 14 November,(AzerTAj)Azerbaijan`s parliament, the Milli Majlis, has adopted a
bill aimed at withdrawing the country`s military contingent from Iraq.
According to Aydin Mirzazade, deputy chairman of the Milli Majlis commission on
defense and security, 151 Azerbaijani peacekeepers have been serving in Iraq since
2003.
He said the troops will be pulled out as a 5-year mandate of the mission expires
this year.
