Deputy Hadramout governor meets Singaporean ambassador
SAYOUN, Nov. 14 (Saba) - Deputy Hadramout governor for desert and
valley affairs Ahmed al-Junaid has met in Sayoun city with the
Singaporean ambassador to Yemen Hilmi Bin Talib.
Bin Talib has earlier arrived in the city leading a Singaporean
people and state delegation to take part in relief efforts to help
the affected people in the rain-stricken areas.
The delegation, which included medics and medical experts along with
medicines, aimed at providing medical aid to the affected through
mobile clinics as well as supplying water purifying equipment.
The delegation would also donate medicines for the
patients.
Moreover, the medics will treat patients at the Sayoon General
Hospital during their stay in the city over the next two week, and
would review aid requirements and needs of the affected areas.
The Singaporean health experts are expected to give advice to
their Yemeni counterparts on how to deal with the consequences of
the natural disasters.
Further Singaporean aid is expected to arrive in Sayoon by next
week, one of the delegation members said.
