Sweden's king receives credentials of Yemen envoy

LAHI, Nov. 14 (Saba) - Sweden's king Carl XVI Gustaf has
received the credentials of the new Yemen extraordinary and
non-resident ambassador to Sweden Najeeb Ahmed Ubaid.

At the meeting, Gustaf welcomed the new diplomat, affirming the
Swedish government will work to help the envoy accomplish his
duties as required and in the interests of the two countries.

Ubaid expressed Yemen's keenness to strengthen its relations with
Sweden.

On the other hand, Ubaid has met with Sweden's Foreign minister
Carl Bildt and discussed aspects of cooperation between Yemen and
Sweden.
