VALDAS ADAMKUS: WE ARE SATISFIED WITH LEVEL OF DEVELOPMENT OF LITHUANIA-AZERBAIJAN RELATIONS
Baku, 14 November,(AzerTAj) We are satisfied with the level of development of Lithuania-Azerbaijan relations, visiting Baku Lithuanian President Valdas Adamkus told an AzerTAc correspondent.
Responding to question whether Lithuania plans to increase its share in the
Baku-Odessa-Brody-Plock-Gdansk oil pipeline project, President Adamkus said:
“Despite currently we have a small share in the project, we look to the future with
a hope.”
“We are becoming participants, part of a huge project, which is important not only
to Azerbaijan and Lithuania, but also to the entire world since we are discussing
the world`s energy situation. Azerbaijan plays quite a big role in this issue. We
are interested in becoming partners, and we will be partners.” the Lithuanian leader
said.
