DELIVERY OF AZERBAIJANI OIL AND GAS TO EUROPEAN MARKETS IS HISTORICAL EVENT, PRESIDENT ILHAM ALIYEV
Baku, 14 November,(AzerTAj) - Delivery of Azerbaijani oil and gas to European markets is an historical event, said President Ilham Aliyev during his opening address to the Energy Summit on Friday in Baku.
Touching upon the importance of the Azerbaijan-initiated large-scale projects, the Head of State noted that work on several new ones is now underway.
“We discuss Odessa-Brody-Gdansk project. Caspian energy resources will be delivered
to European markets through this new pipeline after feasibility studies have
finished. It will give a new impetus to cooperation among countries of the Caspian,
Black Sea and Baltic regions.”
President Aliyev stated that Azerbaijan has rich gas reserves, noting the country`s
gas first reached the European markets two years ago,
According to the Azerbaijani leader, gas production intensively increases and this
in turn, sets up new infrastructures in the sector.
