`BAKU ENERGY SUMMIT IS AN IMPORTANT EVENT`, PRESIDENT OF AZERBAIJAN
Baku, 14 November,(AzerTAj)The Fourth Energy Summit in Baku is an important event, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev noted in his opening remarks.
Speaking about the country’s rich oil-gas reserves the Head of State emphasized that in the first years of its independence Azerbaijan produced 10 million tons of oil per year, while currently the figure reaches 50 million tons per year. The country has close cooperation with the leading world countries and all the works are realized jointly, what, according to Azerbaijani President, gives further
opportunity for wider cooperation.
Noting that energy security is on world`s agenda, President Aliyev said the discussions in the frame of Summit will further strengthen friendly and cooperation relations among the countries. The Summit`s Final Declaration will reflect all the forthcoming plans, Mr. Aliyev stressed.
