Ki-moon highlights King Abdullah`s initiative 2 New York

The communiqué spelled out the concern of the countries about the
dangerous events pertaining to intolerance, discrimination, hatred
and harassment of religious minorities.

The communiqué pointed out to the commitment of all countries to work
in line with the charter of the UN for the respect of human rights
and the basic liberties for all, including the freedoms of belief and
expression, without discrimination on the bases of race, language or
religion.

Leaders of a number of countries and heads of several international
organizations participated in the two-day conference at the UN
headquarters.
