AZERBAIJAN, BELARUS TO BOOST ICT COOPERATION

Baku, 13 November,(AzerTAj)Azerbaijan Deputy Minister of Information and
Communication Technologies Elmir Valizade and his Belarusian counterpart Nikolai
Strukov signed a plan of action aimed at boosting the two countries` bilateral
cooperation in the field of information and communication technologies.

The document, signed on the sidelines of the 14th Azerbaijan International
Exhibition of Telecommunication and Information Technologies BakuTel-2008, provides
for holding joint business forums and conduct of experience exchange.
The signing ceremony was attended by Azerbaijan Minister of Information and
Communication Technologies Ali Abbasov and Belarus Ambassador in Baku Nikolay
Patskevich.
Patskevich described cooperation between the two states as multi-faceted, adding his
country is ready to expand it.
Abbasov in turn said the document will be useful for both sides and open up broader
opportunities for boosting ICT cooperation.
