Saudi ambassador to the UK and Ireland delivers speech

London, Nov 13, SPA -- On behalf of Saudi ambassador to the United
Kingdom and Ireland Prince Mohammed bin Nawaf bin Abduaziz, legal
advisor at the Saudi embassy here Dr Saud al-Amari delivered here
yesterday a speech to shed light on the business opportunities in the
Kingdom within the framework of the Gulf-European trade exhibition,
currently in progress in London.

In his speech Prince Mohammed bin Nawaf expressed appreciation for
the support extended to the exhibition by Saudi minister of commerce
and industry Abdullah bin Ahmad Zainal Ali Rida.
He noted that people should learn a good lesson from the current
global financial crisis as regards the importance of cooperation of
various economic forces to contain the adverse impact of the crisis.
The exhibition constitutes a distinguished example for the prospects
of promising cooperation between two regions of a significant
economic importance, he said.

The ambassador pointed on to the measures taken by the Saudi
government to develop the economic systems in the country, and hailed
the role of the Saudi Arabian general investment authority (SAGIA) in
this respect.
He noted that the GCC member states have taken similar measures to
enhance their economic growth, adding that the exhibition provides a
good opportunity to further cementing relations between the Gulf
States and Europe.
On the Saudi-UK economic relations, he said these relations are
steadily growing.
It is worth mentioning that more than 150 companies are participating
in the show.
The activities of the exhibition include series of seminars and
lectures on various topics.
