Sheikha Fatima visits Syrian, Lebanese First Ladies

HH Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak, Chairperson of the Arab Woman Organisation, Chairperson of the General Women Union and Supreme Chairperson of the Family Development Foundation, called on the First Lady of Syria Asma Al-Assad at her residence at the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi.

Asma Al-Assad is in Abu Dhabi to take part in the second biennial conference of the Arab Woman Organisation (AWO). Sheikha Fatima was accompanied by Sheikha Manal Bint Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, wife of HH Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, minister of Presidential Affairs.

During the visit they briefly reviewed the topics on the agenda of the AWO conference, as well as ways for enhancing relations between UAE and Syria, with particular emphasis on issues of women and family.HH Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the Arab Women Organisation (AWG), Chairwoman of the UAE Women's General Union and Chairman of the Family Development Foundation, visited today wife of Lebanese President Wafa Suleiman at Emirates Palace. They discussed the topics on the agenda of the second conference of the AWG. They also discussed the relations between the two countries in fields of family, women and children.
