UAE's GWU and Lebanon's NCWA sign agreement

Abu Dhabi, Nov 13, 2008 (WAM) - UAE's General Woman's Union (GWU) and Lebanon's National Authority for Women's Affairs (NAWA) signed today a memorandum of understanding for mutual cooperation in formulating and implementing strategies and plans for the progress of women The MOU was signed in the presence of HH Sheikha Fatima, President of Arab Woman Organisation, Chairperson of General Woman's Union and Supreme Chairperson of Family Development Foundation, and Wafa Michel Suleiman, the Director of Lebanon's National Authority for Women's Affairs. The MOU calls for enhanced cooperation in economic, cultural and social avenues related to issues of women. – Emirates News Agency, WAM
