Prosecution burns million tablets of drugs, half ton of Hashish
SANA'A, Nov. 12 (Saba)-The specialized penal prosecution burned on
Wednesday 1447 kilo grams of narcotic hashish and 1.1 million
tablets of drugs. The process is considered the greatest of its kind.
Prosecutor Ali Hussein Askar told Saba that the spoiling process
has been conducted according to court's decision responding to the
demand of the prosecution.
He made it clear that narcotic hashish has been seized in eastern
areas with Iranian and Pakistani smugglers during this year, noting
that these smugglers are being prosecuted.
He added that a part of the drugs amount has been seized in Sana'a
Airport's Custom inside heaters and with traders in Sana'a
Secretariat.
For his part, director of anti-drugs department in the Capital
Secretariat Yahya al-Jaefi said that the spoiled drugs quantities
have been seized this year and that the accused have been
transformed to general prosecution.
