E KALIMANTAN BOMBING THREAT SENDER NOT LINKED TO TERROR NETWORK

Jakarta, Nov 12 (ANTARA) - HJ, a man arrested recently in East Kalimantan on suspicion of having sent threats by cellular text (SMS) messagea to blow up vital facilities in Jakarta over Bali bombers Amrozi et al's execution, ia not linked to any known terrorist network, National Police spokesman Abubakar Nataprawira said here on Wednesday.
"He (HJ) had sent the SMS messages that he would blow up vital facilities in Jakarta but he has no link whatsoever with any terror case," Nataprawira said.
HJ was also not a friend of any of the three Bali bombing death-row convicts Amrozi, Mukhlas, and Imam Samudra who were executed early last Sunday morning.
"HJ had sent the SMS threatening messages 'just for fun'," Nataprawira said.
Besides HJ, police had also caught another bombing threat sender, identified by his initials as DM, in Cimandiri, Lebak, Banten.
To find HJ , the National Police Headquarters sent a special team from Jakarta to East Kalimantan and arrested him on Sunday (Nov 9).
From Jakarta the team went to Balikpapan, East Kalimantan, and from there it took a boat for a river trip , and later "ojeks" (motorcycle taxis) to reach Tanah Grogot. The entire trip was made in two days' time.
In preliminary interrogations, it was established HJ had sent four SMSs threatening to blow up vital objects in the capital if Bali-I bombing death row convicts Amrozi et al were executed.
About DM , Nataprawira said DM had sent his bombing threats to the Jakarta Police SMS center No 1717. He threatened to blow up vital facilities in the capital if Amrozi et al were executed.
The three Bali-I bombing death row convicts were finally executed by firing squads early Sunday morning on the prison island of Nusakambangan, Central Java.
