Saudi youth prince due in Yemen
SANA'A, Nov. 11 (Saba)-Saudi vice president of Youth Welfare, prince
Faisal bin Fahd bin Abdul Aziz is due in Yemen next Monday.
The prince's visit comes in response to the invitation of minister
of Youth and Sports Hamud Ubad, director general of the public
relations at the ministry Khalid al-Zouqari said.
Prince Nawaf and the delegation accompanying will familiarize
themselves with improvements in the sportws and youth area in the
country since the reunification of the north and south in 1990,
al-Zouqari said.
The sports and youth field in Yemen has saw improvements through
setting up sports facilities and positive Yemeni sport teams
participations locally, regional and internationally.
Yemeni officials at the ministry will introduce the delegation to
current preparations for hosting the Gulf 20th Cup Championship.
During the visit, the two countries will sign a bilateral executive
program on cooperation in the sports and youth area that will
include holding joint comps by some Yemeni sport unions and Saudi
counterparts, he added.
Al-Zouqari said Yemen will, for the second time, host a Saudi sport
delegation and in return a Yemeni delegation will head to Saudi
Arabia with the aim to exchange experiences and expertise.
The move highlights the strengthened bilateral cooperation in this
area.
