Egyptian, Swiss companies study dams in Yemen
MUCALLA, Nov. 11 (Saba)- Governor of Hadramout Salem al-Khanbashi
met on Tuesday with technical teams from Swiss Renarde Company and
the Saudi Egyptian Investment & Finance Company.
The two teams informed the governor on the program of their visit to
the governorate for studying locations of dams to be built in the
framework of Fishery and Agricultural Development Project (FADP) and
conducting the studies and designs required for constructing these
dams.
The two companies would construct eight dams with the cost of € 706
thousands in districts of Hadramout Cost in the framework of FADP
that is financed by Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development.
During the meeting, the two companies presented their experiences in
building dams through showing designs of the dams they have built in
several countries.
The governor affirmed making use of technical faults unearthed by
floods occurred recently in the governorate, showing readiness of
local authority to provide all facilitation and information help in
preparing complete technical study on these dams.
