EU MEETING DISCUSSES FLIGHT BAN ON RI, MINISTER
Jakarta, Nov 11 (ANTARA) - Minister of Transportation Jusman Syafii Djamal said here Tuesday that the European Union (EU) had recently discussed the ban on all Indonesian aircraft to fly over Europe.
"They held a meeting on November 5, 2008," the minister said at his office here, adding that Indonesia did not take part in the meeting.
"The EU delegation said they had enough data and planned to contact us if they need more data and information. In fact, they are ready for a teleconference with the relevant Indonesian authorities," the minister said.
However, Jusman did not give details of the meeting and its result, especially those relating to the flight ban imposed in July, 2007.
Jusman merely said that the meeting was held one in every three monhs and the result was used to be announced to the public and could be found in EU's official website.
"The organization has been re-arranged, surveilance enhanced and regulations underway," he said.
