Greece calls for expansion of economic cooperation with Iran

Athens, Nov 11, IRNA - Greek Development Minister Christos Folias called for expansion of economic cooperation with Iran.

In a meeting with Iran's Ambassador to Athens Mehdi Honardoust, the
Greek minister there are vast fields for cooperation between the two
countries.

According to a press release from Iran's embassy in Athens on Monday,
the two sides discussed bilateral ties, especially in economic field.

Folias called Iran as an old civilization with rich culture and
expressed his country's readiness to promote ties in all economic
fields with Iran.

Referring to the good political ties between Iran and Greece, the
ambassador underlined vast grounds of cooperation between the two
countries such as energy, industry, agriculture, tourism and shipping.

He added economic cooperation level is not adequate and called for
promotion of cooperation in the economic and trade fields as well as
exchanging commercial and trade delegations.

He described bilateral cooperation trend as 'positive'.
