AZERI MILITARIES TO LEAVE IRAQ

Baku, 11 November,(AzerTAj)Azerbaijan is going to withdraw its military forces from Iraq. Following the UN Security Council Resolution 1790 (dated December 18, 2007) and the end of UN mandate authorizing the Multinational Force in Iraq, Azerbaijan is expected to pull out its military contingent from this country, First Vice-Speaker of Azerbaijani Parliament and Chairman of the Milli Majlis’

Permanent Commission on Security and Defense Ziyafat Asgarov said.
According to Mr. Asgarov, the draft on withdrawal Azerbaijani Military Forces from raq has been already submitted to Milli Majlis.
Currently, 151 Azeri servicemen ensure protection of numerous objects in Iraq.
