`STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP OF US AND AZERBAIJAN BASES ON COMPREHENSIVENESS IN RELATIONS AND PRIORITIES WE SHARE`, AMBASSADOR ANNE DERSE

Baku, 11 November,(AzerTAj)“Strategic partnership between the United States and Azerbaijan bases on comprehensiveness in relations and the priorities we share”, US Ambassador to Azerbaijan Anne Derse told the annual conference of the “World Universities for Democracy” International Organization taken place in Baku.

Mrs. Derse said: “We are partners in fighting against threats for security and
stability in region and beyond it. Azerbaijan is a reliable partner of the United
States in Iraq and Afghanistan in restoration of peace and stability and fighting
terrorism. We closely cooperate in combat against transnational threats as illegal
drug and weapons circulation and human trafficking. Azerbaijan has decided
extraordinary decision for cooperation with the international organizations and
integration of country’s power and transit resources to the European
infrastructures thanks to what the Caspian oil and gas reserves became open for
export.”
