UN TO DISCUSS CHILDREN`S RIGHTS IN AZERBAIJAN
Baku, 10 November,(AzerTAj)The UN information office in Baku will organize a roundtable “Children’s rights in Azerbaijan – national legislation and its implementation in practice” on 13 November in Gabala to mark the forthcoming “Universal Children’s Day”.
The aim of the event is to bring together key actors from the government, NGOs, UN
and the
media as well as the social and educational sector to shed some light on the present
situation within the realm of children’s rights and to elaborate whether the
appropriate policy and legal frameworks are being put in place in this area
Among organizers of the meeting are also the National NGO Forum of Azerbaijan, the
Azerbaijani Office of the Commissioner of Human Rights and in UNICEF office in Baku.
