Gas import tax increases to 5 percent
Hanoi (VNA) - The Ministry of Finance issued a decision on November 10 to impose an import tax rate of 5 percent on liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).
Until now, the import of LPG has not attracted any import duties.
The new tax rate will be levied on hydrocarbon gases such as natural gas,
Propane, Butane and Etylen.
According to the ministry statement, the tax increase aims to ensure
harmonious benefits for the State, as well as businesses and consumers
following the recent drop in global LPG prices.
In October, global LPG prices fell 2.44 percent from the previous
