Vietnam-China trade expected to reach 20 billion USD by 2010
Hanoi (VNA) - Two-way trade between Vietnam and China is expected to reach 15 billion USD this year, increasing to 20 billion USD by 2010, said Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung.
At a reception in Hanoi on Nov. 10 for the Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam
Hu Qianwen, who attended to say farewell as his working term in Vietnam
ended, PM Dung spoke of the great value of the ambassador's contributions to
strengthening the multi-faceted relationship between the two countries over
the past two years.
The government leader affirmed that the Vietnamese Party, State and people
have always recognised the importance of developing the friendship with
their neighbour China , and will continue to work hard to foster the
bilateral relationship.
The Chinese Ambassador said that he was very impressed by Vietnam and
its people and affirmed that, whatever future position he may hold, he will
continue making active contributions to developing the two nations'
bilateral relationship.
He said that PM Dung's recent visit to China has helped to actualise
the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.
On the same day, Deputy PM and Foreign Minister Pham Gia Khiem also
received the Chinese Ambassador.-Enditem
