Ministry of Culture Celebrates Eid al-Fitr

Doha, August 04 (QNA) - The Ministry of Culture,Arts and Heritage prepared a number of cultural activities and entertainment programs so as to present in the cultural forums during the days of Eid al-Fitr. During a press conference held today, Director of Cultural and Arts Department at the Ministry,Faleh Ajlan al Hajri, said that the Ministry seeks to attract a large number of audience , citizens, residents and visitors from the GCC states. He pointed out that some of these events will be performed on the stage of the Qatar National Theatre as well as the"Furjan Play" which was written by Qatari artist Ghanem Al-Sulaiti , and directed by artist Hassan Rajab from the UAE and the play will be displayed for a month. He added that the Cultural and Arts Department ,in cooperation with Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA),will organize a number of folkloric troupes for 10 days at a number of shopping complexes including Flaggio, Hyatt Plaza, LandMark, City Center, Laguna, in Dafna Area, Mall of Al Khor. He said that the Qatari folk troupes will perform the folkloric, theatric and musical festivities at the Heritage Village. (QNA)
